Catherine Fidella Martz, 80

Catherine Fidella Martz, 80, died Sunday, Aug. 11, 2013.

She was born to the late Clair and Meda (Shaffer)Martz of Ringgold Township.

She was the sister to the late Glenn, late Dean, late Gene (Abe) and late Mary Lou Martz.

She is survived by sisters-in-law Mrs. Glenn Martz (Marie Schmale), Mrs. Dean Martz (Margaret Michael) and Mrs. Gene Martz (Nell Van Cott).

She was the loving aunt to Terry, Lorne, Dennis and the late James Beebe, Sandra Rooney, Glenn Clair Martz, the late Kenneth (Dickie) Martz, Pamela Warner, the late Kathy Shaw, Karen Pollow, Kenneth and Kelly Banks, the late Keane Martz and Kimberly Lango; and grand-nieces and nephews Jesse, Jamie, Jaret, and Justin Beebe, Corinne Shuller, Justin and Cody Martz, Christopher Ryan Rooney, Timothy Warner; and great-grand-nieces and nephews, Candice, Laura Jean, and John Mark Lango and Lucas Lyall Shuller.

Catherine grew up on a farm in Punxsutawney and moved to Buffalo, N.Y., as a young woman.

She and her sister Mary Lou took great pleasure in a small cozy house that they purchased together.

A retired supervisor at Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance, Kate enjoyed traveling and photography.

Arrangements were under the direction of the John E. Roberts Funeral Home Inc., Buffalo, N.Y.

Internment was at St. James Lutheran Cemetery in Ringgold.
