Carl Eugene Adams, 50

Carl Eugene Adams, 50, Dora-Timblin Road, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, March 17, 2011, at UPMC Montefiore hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born Oct. 21, 1960 in Brookville, a son of Joseph and Evelyn Marie (Dinger) Adams Jr., who survive, of Timblin.

Mr. Adams was a 1979 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a 2001 graduate of Triangle Tech.

June 30, 1990, he married the love of his life, Marcie Jo Ross, who survives.

He worked as a logger and later as an electrician for Caylor Electric.
Mr. Adams was an avid sportsman and loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the NRA.

He loved watching his children play soccer, and enjoyed playing a little soccer with them as well.  He loved being with his family, enjoying cookouts and playing with all the kids.

Mr. Adams was kind- hearted and would do anything for anyone, even a stranger. He will be sadly missed.

 In addition to his parents and wife, surviving relatives include two daughters, Kacie Lynn and Jordan Taylor Adams, both at home; two brothers, Archie Adams and wife Wanda of Ringgold, and David Adams of Timblin; several sisters and brothers-in-laws; four nieces and three nephews; and four great-nieces and four great-nephews.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Brenda D. Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., 153 Jefferson St., Brookville. with Pastor Kenneth Alt officiating.

Memorial donations may be made in Mr. Adams' memory to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, Tenn. 38148.
