Bruno Farbo, 74

March 17, 2014

Bruno Farbo, 74, of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, March 17, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Farbo was born Jan. 10, 1940, in Walston, a son of the late John and Katherine (Trapizone) Farbo.

He is survived by his wife, Karyn Kay (Limerick) Farbo, of Punxsutawney.

They were married May 4, 1968.

Mr. Farbo was a member of the Army Reserves from 1958-1965.

In his early years, he worked for the former Pramco Manufacturing and Johnston Furniture.

He was a 25-year employee of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, where he was a highway sign man and held many other positions.

He was an avid deer hunter and loved nothing more than being in the woods, scouting and hunting with his son.

Bruno also loved his vehicles and took pride in the appearance of his cars and trucks, keeping them spotless, in tip-top shape and shined to perfection.

He loved traveling, shopping and dining out and, most of all, any kind of outing with his son.

He enjoyed caring for his five cats, including Mangie, his special favorite.

In addition to his wife, Karyn, he is survived by his son, Christopher Michael Farbo and wife Holly of Punxsutawney; one sister, Mary Jane Chesnoka and husband Eddie of Rossiter; several nieces and nephews; and a special niece, Christine Lillis of Punxsutawney.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, James, Archie and John Farbo, Jr., and three sisters, Rachel Miller, Josephine Seliga and Eileen Farbo.

Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2014, at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Joseph Riccardo as celebrant.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
