Brookville YMCA’s Share the Love returns for a 3rd year

BROOKVILLE — Share the Love, an annual fundraiser for the Brookville YMCA, held in memory of Connor Gerg, a former YMCA lifeguard, will mark its third year this Saturday.

The event features a run/walk, as well as a soup sale, a bake sale, a silent auction, a merchandise sale and more, with all the money going back into the YMCA.

Beth Gerg, Connor’s mother, said the event began in February 2012, the brainchild of a group of people who wanted to find a way to do something for the community in his memory after his passing in 2011.

The run/walk events will begin at 11 a.m. this Saturday; registration runs up to the event itself, beginning at 9:30 a.m. the day of.

Pre-registration is encouraged, however, and you can pick up registration forms (as well as merchandise order forms) online at www.brookvilleymca.com.
