Bridget Nicholson Sparks, 48, died on Oct. 16, 2013, at Bay Area Medical Center, Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was born on Dec. 14, 1964, in DuBois, a daughter of Polly Hatten Clapsaddle.

She attended DuBois Area High School. She followed the sun, moving to Florida and then to Texas, where she married her husband Douglas Sparks on Feb. 26, 1993. She loved the beach, the sand, the sun and fishing.

She is survived by her mother and the following brothers and sisters, Roxann Overman and husband Norman of Soldier, Tom Nicholson and wife Deb of Stump Creek, Lisa Haught and husband Steve of Punxsutawney, Mike Nicholson and wife Gina of Stump Creek, Rod Nicholson and wife Penny of Sheffield, Robert Nicholson and wife Val of Irving, N.Y., Dreama Smith and husband Doug of Hudson, N.Y., Belinda Sehlke and husband Tracy of Allens Mills and Charles Nicholson of Port Richey, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Sparks; her Papa Tom Clapsaddle; and beloved aunt Jane Nicholson.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Chestnut Grove Cemetery in Grampian with Pastor Kevin S. Bockus officiating.

A Celebration of Life dinner will be held at the Heritage House on Main Street in Grampian immediately following the service.
