Brian James “Peazle” Himes, 53, of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, July 21, 2014, at his home surrounded by his family.

Mr. Himes was born March 2, 1961, in Punxsutawney, a son of the the late James D. Himes and his mother, Maxine L. (Minick) Himes of Punxsutawney, who survives.

Brian was a heavy equipment operator for McDonald & Owen Lumber of Brookville.

He was a member of the Punxsutawney Eagles, and he loved bowling, playing pool, riding his motorcycle, cars, racing and long walks in the outdoors.

In addition to his mother, Maxine, he is survived by a sister, Lorita Mae Snyder and husband Richard of Punxsutawney; his nephew, Scott James Guidash and partner Bryan Howard of Pittsburgh; niece Heather Mae Havrilla and husband Daniel of Punxsutawney; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the McCabe Funeral home in Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at the funeral home with Pastor Tom Spiker officiating.
