BREAKING NEWS:Lees Jr. waives right to preliminary hearing

November 20, 2013

Kenneth Lees Jr. waived his right to a preliminary hearing at District Judge David Inzana's office this morning.

Lees Jr. is charged with simple assault, fleeing and eluding, recklessly endangering another person or persons and a variety of traffic offenses for his alleged involvement in events surrounding a late September shooting in Brockway that wounded PSP-DuBois trooper Brad Wilson.

It is alleged that he fled police after they issued a "be on the lookout" (BOLO) for him during an incident in which his father, Kenneth Lees Sr., opened fire on troopers who were serving a search warrant at his home.

The case will now proceed to the Jefferson County Court of Common Pleas.
