Breaking News: Glen Campbell man dies in accident, another flown to Pittsburgh

BURNSIDE TOWNSHIP — A 58-year-old Glen Campbell man died Monday following a vehicle accident that sent a 52-year-old Glen Campbell man to Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, according to Punxsutawney-based Pennsylvania State Police (PSP).

Police have yet to release the names of the two men involved in the accident that occurred at 5:25 p.m. along Route 219 south of Rager Road in Burnside Township, Clearfield County.

Police said the driver was traveling south on Route 219 when his Chevy truck traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree head-on.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passenger was flown to the Pittsburgh hospital with unknown injuries, police said.

Westover VFD, Cherry Tree VFD and Smitty's Towing assisted at the scene.
