BREAKING NEWS: Fire at the New Anchor Inn

Firefighters from several different companies braved chilly temperatures to battle a fire late Sunday evening at the New Anchor Inn along Route 310, Young Township.

PUNXSUTAWNEY — Firefighters from all three Punxsy stations and surrounding areas were called to battle a tenacious fire at the New Anchor Inn late Sunday evening.

Initial reports suggest there were no injuries. The restaurant was closed at the time of the fire.

Punxsy firefighters were assisted at the scene by the McCalmont and Big Run departments, with a number of other local departments on stand-by.
