Led by senior defensive lineman Ben Blazavich, five Punxsy football players were recently named Pennsylvania Football News All-State players, with each classification getting four teams on both offense and defense for a total of 32 all-state teams.

Blazavich added 36 tackles and blocked a punt for a touchdown. Offensively, he rushed for 361 yards and caught 22 passes for 308 yards to go along with nine total touchdowns.

Thompson had a team-best four interceptions and added 37 tackles. He added 17 catches and 272 yards receiving.

He also rushed for 167 yards and two touchdowns and managed a team-best 53 tackles from the safety position on defense.

Blazavich, Luzell and Logan Weaver received Honorable Mention recognition from the publication last season.
