Beverly Nagy, 81

Beverly Nagy, 81, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.

She was born July 5, 1930, in Mars, a daughter of the late Homer Leslie and Helen Ruby (Wulfert) Sherwood.

Jan. 15, 1999, she married John Nagy, who preceded her in death March 4, 2007.

She worked as a seamstress at Pramco and Punxsutawney Sportswear Co. in Punxsutawney.

She was a member of the Moulennaires of the Senior Citizens’ Center.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and her good friends, Jim and Sally Lantz.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Andrew A. Braunns; two brothers, Harold E. Sherwood and Gary B. Braunns; and a sister, Delores J. Albrecht.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012, at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, with the Rev. Alfred H. Kimmel officiating.

Interment will be in Circle Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Nagy requested that donations in her memory be made to the Woodland Avenue United Methodist Church in Punxsutawney.
