Beverly A. Jesse, 86, Punxsutawney, formerly of Killeen, Texas, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011, at her home.

She was born June 20, 1925, in Westminster, Mass., a daughter of the late Lewis R. and Effedelia (Harrington) Berry.

She was married to John W. Jesse Sr., who preceded her in death.

Mrs. Jesse was a seamstress and was extremely talented at making afghans, crocheting and making doilies. She also enjoyed gardening.

Surviving relatives include a son, John W. Jesse and wife Laura (Phillips) of Punxsutawney; a daughter; Tommie Lou Duggan of Cleveland, Tenn.; a brother, Lewis Berry of Amesbury, Mass.; a sister; Cynthia LaVier of Blue Ridge, Va.; seven grandchildren, Damien Farrior, James Farrior, Melissa Farrior, Laura Duggan, John W. Jesse III, Jacob Jesse and wife Sarah, and Jordan Jesse.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Melvin Berry; and four sisters, Dorothy Smith, Marjorie Frank, Frieda Slocum and Rhoda O'Connell.

At the request of Mrs. Jesse, there will be no viewing.

Interment will be held at a later date at the Killeen Memorial Park.
