Betty A. Mohney, 83

Betty A. Mohney, 83, of Batavia, N.Y., a medical secretary at the former Genesee Memorial Hospital in Batavia prior to her retirement in 1987, died Sunday, April 6, 2014, at Genesee County Nursing Home in Batavia, N.Y.

Mrs. Mohney was born June 1, 1930, in Dora, Pa., a daughter of the late William and Gladys (Delp) Knapp.

Her husband, Guy M. Mohney, died July 19, 2009.

Survivors include three sons, Chanley (Debbie) Mohney of Virginia, Duane (Annamarie) Mohney of Pennsylvania and Dwight (Debbie) Mohney of Kentucky; two daughters, Sonya Mohney and Sharon Hills, both of Alexander, N.Y.; three sisters, Leona Davis of Florida, Joyce Toven of Pennsylvania and Cleora Schaffer of Ohio; five grandchildren; two step-grandsons; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Friends may call from from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at H.E. Turner & Co, Inc., 403 East Main St., Batavia, N.Y., and from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, April 11, 2014, at Evangelical United Methodist Church, 30 S. White St., Brookville, where services will be at noon Friday.

Memorials may be made to Genesee County Nursing Home, 4th Floor, 278 Bank St., Batavia, N.Y. 14020 or to Eden United Methodist Church Memorial Fund, 2820 E. Church St., Eden, N.Y. 14057.

Interment will be at St. John's At Windy Hill, Boonville, Pa.
