Betty Jean McHenry, 88

Betty Jean McHenry, 88, Brookville, died Monday, Oct. 17, 2011, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh.

She was born Oct. 31, 1922, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Edward and Effie (Hoop) Holben.

March 1, 1947, she married Robert R. Mchenry, who preceded her in death Jan. 11, 2000.

Mrs. McHenry was a member of the First English Lutheran Church.
She enjoyed her flowers.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Sandra Freemer and husband Lester of Brockway; three sons, Ronald McHenry of Falls Creek, Robert McHenry and wife Mary of Coolspring, and Denny McHenry and wife Bonnie of Punxsutawney; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by an infant sister.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Oct. 21, 2011, at the Deeley Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Maureen Siefried officiating.

Interment will follow at Round Top Cemetery near Trade City.
