Betty Jane Craft, 72

Betty Jane Craft, 71, Punxsutawney, died Monday, July 11, 2011, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.

She was born Aug. 17, 1939, a daughter of the late Ida Mae Miller and Arnold Fetterman.

June 8, 1957, she married Terry T. “Ted” Craft, who survives.
Mrs. Craft had previously worked as an inspector at Sportswear and Ideal Products.

She loved spending time with her family and her dog, Timmy. She liked to fish, going to flea markets, Cook Forest and collecting porcelain dolls. She was also a Steelers fan.

In addition to her husband, surviving relatives include six children, Terry Craft and wife Cheryl, Denny Craft and wife Patty, Doug Craft and wife Brenda, and Barry Craft, all of Punxsutawney, Arnie Craft of York, and Melissa McAfoos and husband Doug of Punxsutawney; 13 grandchildren, Danita Kendro, Ryan Craft, Steven Craft, Christine Gromley, Ashley and Dakota Craft, Stephanie Barfield, Jason Craft, Brittney Krout, Callie Craft, Jacob Craft, Joshua and Shania McAfoos.

Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2011, at the Shumaker Funeral Home Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2011, at the funeral home with Pastor Johnny Pennington officiating.

Interment will be in the Desire Cemetery.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Craft's memory to the Punxsutawney Hospice, the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
