Friday evening, Linda Bittle, secretary of the Punxsutawney Beta Sorority, presented a check for $1,200 to the Western PA Cares for Kids organization.

The sorority held its annual Ethnic Food Fair Fundraiser on July 6, with all proceeds going to Western PA Cares for Kids.

To raise more funds for the charity, the Betas will be raffling off an Amish quilt on Sept. 28, at the Punxsutawney Appreciation Day event.
