Ben E. Raybuck, 84

Ben E. Raybuck, 84, Jefferson Manor, Brookville, and formerly of Hazen, died Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Jefferson Manor.

He was born May 30, 1926, in Reynoldsville, a son of the late George W. and Dorothy Hetrick Raybuck Bush

May 19, 1951, in Brookville, he married Bernice M. Bruce, who preceded him in death June 30, 2008.

Mr. Raybuck was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theaters with the 2nd Chemical Mortar Battalion.

He owned and operated his own dairy farm and enjoyed every aspect of his farm. He was very dedicated and proud of the farm and the daily operation.

Mr. Raybuck was a member of the NRA; Warsaw Fire Company; the Handgunners Association of Brockway; and the Warsaw Township Sportsmen's Club.

Surviving relatives include two sons, James E. Raybuck of Curwensville, and Robert S. Raybuck of Brockway; a daughter, Nora Rudisille of Oil City; a sister, Jean Shindledecker of Boulder, Colo.; a brother, Joe G. Raybuck of Brockport; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Orr.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the Hazen United Methodist Church.

A funeral service will be held at noon Friday, Feb. 18, 2011, at the church with the Rev. Donald Henderson officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the McKinney Funeral Home, Brookville.

Interment will be in the Temple Cemetery, Hazen.
