Arthur Glenn Wyant, 80

Arthur Glenn Wyant, 80, of New Bethlehem, died Monday morning, Jan. 21, 2013, at Clarion Hospital.

He was born March 27, 1932, in Porter Township, Clarion County, a son of A. Banks and Gladys G. (Burns) Wyant.

He married Imogene L. (Powell) on June 11, 1954.

Art graduated from New Bethlehem High School in 1951.

He farmed all of his life.

He also served in the United States Army from March 1958 to March 1960, and then with the Army Reserve until February 1964.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Imogene L. Wyant of New Bethlehem; six grandchildren, Trenton Blose, Paula Johnston, Katie Pierce, Lauren Wyant and Alana Wyant, all of New Bethlehem, and Christopher Wyant of Grove City; a great-grandson, Rylee Blose; three brothers, Roy Wyant and wife Nancy of New Bethlehem, Harold Wiant and wife Delores of Wayne, Pa., and Dean Wiant and companion Karen of Fort Myers, Fla.; and a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Wyant of New Bethlehem.

Art was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Eric L. Wyant; four brothers, Max Wiant, Hilton Wyant, Arnold Wiant and Fred Wiant; and four sisters; Helen Mays, Arlene Grakalskis, Dorothy Blair and LaRue Kennedy.

Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn.

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at the funeral home with Pastor Cindy Dixon of the Oakwood Presbyterian Church officiating.

Interment will be at the Squirrel Hill Cemetery, Porter Township, Clarion County.
