Art students to add unique flair to parade

Staff Writer

With Thanksgiving officially in the rearview mirror, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas, and this Saturday, one of the hallmark signs of the holiday season will be “coming to town,” as the streets will be filled with the 27th annual Home for the Holidays Parade, which is sponsored by the F.O. Eagles No. 1231 and will begin at 6 p.m. This year, the Punxsutawney Area High School Art Club will be collecting letters to Santa during the parade. If children bring their letters in an envelope addressed to Santa at the North Pole, with their return address, the PAHS Art Club students will make sure that they are sent off to the North Pole. The club is partnering with the post office to make sure that the letters are delivered to Santa in time and get a returned letter from the North Pole.
