Despite unseasonably warm temperatures as of late, the signs that autumn is here are everywhere.

The Mahoning Hills Social Center, located on Route 119 North, recently made apple butter as part of an annual fundraiser.

While they were making the apple butter, Wayne Orr and the other members invited children from Longview Elementary School to come to the center and learn about the process.

The children were also allowed to stir the kettle if they wanted to.
