Anthony Test, 89

Anthony Test, 89, Punxsutawney, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011, at UMPC-Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born June 25, 1922, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late John P. and Frances (DelPrincipe) Test.

April 24, 1948, he married Grace E. (Motter) Test, who survives, of Punxsutawney.

Mr. Test was the former owner of the Matterhorn Co. in Punxsutawney.
A veteran of WWII, he served in the U.S. Army as a private first class. He was also a member of the American Legion.

Mr. Test was a member of SS. Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church, Punxsutawney.

He enjoyed telling jokes, artwork, nature, travel, walking and family activities.

In addition to his wife, surviving relatives include a sister, Elenor Camerata and husband Philip of Silver Lake, Ohio; two sons, John Test and wife Zaira, and Frank Test and wife Bobbie Jo, all of Punxsutawney; three daughters, Frances Crago and husband John of Punxsutawney, Sandra Pearce and husband Michael of Dallas, Texas, and Janice Williams and husband David of Las Vegas, Nev.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at SS. Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church, Punxsutawney, at a time to be announced, with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph J. Riccardo officiating.

Full military honors will be accorded by the Jefferson County Veterans Honor Guard.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery, Punxsutawney.

Donations in Mr. Test's name may be made to SS.C.D. School or the Parkinson's Disease Center.
