Anne Pauline Juliette, 96

June 10, 2013

Anne Pauline Juliette, 96, of Rural Valley, died peacefully on Saturday, June 8, 2013, at Indiana Hospital, surrounded by her loving, caring family.

She was born Nov. 29, 1916, in Yatesboro, the daughter of Antonio and Rose Taddeo Dorazio.

Anne was a Catholic her entire life and belonged to St. Mary Mother of God Church, Yatesboro, Pa.

Anne married Joseph Juliette in 1935, the beginning of a great love affair that lasted until Joe's death in 1995.

Anne was a creative homemaker who, along with Joe, grew up in the Depression, loved to work with her hands and never complained about hard work.

She canned produce from Joe's garden for most of her life, and her culinary delights were unsurpassed in the family.

Anne was an avid reader, finding time even while raising six children, to read at least one book a week her entire life.

She was also an expert at all types of needlework.

She especially loved to knit and crochet, creating many beautiful sweaters and blankets for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, for whom she always made time to listen and counsel.

As the family historian, Anne passed along many stories about her and Joe's families and about everyone in the town in which she grew up and loved.

One of her favorite sayings, "Busy hands, happy heart," was certainly evident in her life.

Anne is survived by six children, Joseph (Mary Jane) of Walston, Joanne Henry of Indiana, Kathryn Duex (Steven) of Wesminster, Md., Ronald of Dayton, Linda Toth (Kenneth) of Meadville and David of Pittsburgh; 15 grandchildren, Joseph, Jane Anne, Robert, Rhonda and Rick Juliette, Timothy, Thomas, Terry and Robert Henry, Steven and Rebecca Duex, Anthony and Katherine Juliette and Jennifer and Jefferey Toth; and 26 great-grandchildren, Justin, Joselyn, Danny, Derik, Jason, Bryn, Kara, Kelly, Zach, Mikayla, Brandy, Ashley, Jerry, Nicholas, Matthew, Sean, Emily, Molly, Steven, Rebecca, Jennifer, Jeffrey, Samuel, Devin, Courtney and Carson.

She is also survived by a sister, Pauline Meszaros of Niles, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Liv Dorazio of Kittanning.

Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph; two brothers, Nicholas and Silvio Dorazio; and a sister, Theresa McKay.

The funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary R.C. Catholic Church, Yatesboro, with the Rev. Michael Sikon officiating.

Interment will take place in St. Mary R.C. Cemetery, Yatesboro.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Carson/Boyer Funeral Home, Inc., Rural Valley.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary Mother of God Church, Yatesboro PA.
