Annabelle Grace Yeaney, 90

Annabelle Grace Yeaney, 90, of Mayport, Pa., passed away Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, peacefully at her home.

She was born March 12, 1922, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of the late William A. and Grace Genevive Smith.

April 18, 1941, she married her best friend, Woodrow W. Yeaney Sr. He preceded her in death on April 4, 1996.

Annabelle and her husband owned Anwood Farms in Mayport and The Halfway House Tavern in Shannondale, Pa.

Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Surviving relatives include two daughters and two sons, Barbara (Al) Ritzman of Mayport, Carole Preston of Austin, Texas, Woodrow Jr. (Polly) Yeaney of Mayport and Gary Yeaney of Jay, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Yeaney of Brookville; her sister and brothers, Barbara Jean Carothers of Boardman, Ohio, Thomas H. Smith of Lake Geneva, Wis., Carroll D. Smith of Youngstown, Ohio, Howard Smith of Elkhorn, Neb., and Donald J. Smith and John M. Smith, both of Santa Ana, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, William Smith; two sisters, Wilma Smith and Helen Turnbull; and a son, James A. Yeaney.

Family and friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at McKinney Funeral Home, 345 Main St., Brookville.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012, with Pastor Randy Evans presiding.
