Anna Raniowski, 89

Anna Raniowski, 89, Punxsutawney, passed away Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012, at Mulberry Square Elder Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Mrs. Raniowski was born July 19, 1922, in Philadelphia, a daughter of the late Nicholas and Catherine (Kaprel) Cybak.

She was married to Matthew Raniowski, who preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter.

Mrs. Raniowski loved crossword puzzles, reading, crocheting, knitting and, most of all, her beloved grandchildren.

Surviving relatives include a son, John Raniowski and wife Libby of Punxsutawney; two daughters, Catherine Boyer and husband John of Lindenwald, N.J., and Margaret Ortt and husband Douglas of Ocean City, Md.; a sister; Mary Biehl of Blackwood, N.J; 10 grandchildren, John Arthur Raniowski, Elish Raniowski, Stacia Delaney, Martin Raniowski, Matthew Ortt, Douglas Ortt, Jason Ortt, Christopher Boyer, Janine Raines and Nicholas Ortt; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Karen Boyer; a brother; Michael Cybak; and two sisters, Rose Jackson and Catherine Ochs.

A Mass of Rememberance will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2012, at the Church of the Resurrection in Rossiter with Fr. Lawrence Manchas as Celebrant.

All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Church of the Resurrection, in care of John Raniowski, 133 Peden Park Road, Punxsutawney, Pa. 15767.
