Anna Marie Gould, 86, of Mahaffey, returned to her savior Monday, Dec. 17, 2012 at her home, surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Gould was born March 8, 1926, in Clearfield County, a daughter of the late Cecil C. Wolfe and Lillian (McClinsey) Wolfe.
On Oct. 21, 1950, she married Harry B. Gould, who precedes her in death.
Anna was an active member of the Mt. Carmel Church and the Ladies Aid of Clover Run, holding numerous offices over the years.
She worked with the 4-H of Clearfield County and Fibbers McGee's Closet of Mahaffey. For many years she was a foster parent for Clearfield County. Anna worked many years on the election board of Bell Township. She was an active member of the Bell Township Grange No. 2047, the Pomona Grange and the State Grange of Pennsylvania.
She is survived by three sons, James Kreps of Punxsutawney, John Gould and wife Kathryn of Mahaffey and Jay Gould and wife Lillie of Punxsutawney; three daughters, Wilma Wright of New Jersey, Ruth Coleman-Maranda of Rhode Island and Joan Barr and husband Daniel of Punxsutawney; one brother, Charles Wolfe and wife Carol of Mayport; four sisters, Catherine Diem of Ransomville, NY., Grace Weber of Niagara Falls, NY., Virginia Beer of Mayport and Dorothy Bennett and husband David of Punxsutawney; 17 grandchildren, Claudia, Theresa, Darlene, Jamie, Blair, Norman Jr., Nancy, Wayne Daniel, Robert, Melinda, Dan, Brian, Ronald, Tara, Ollie, Lillie and Anna Lee; 23 beloved great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Harry, she was preceded in death by an infant son; one brother, Harold Wolfe; two sisters, Eliza Mills and Sara Knarr; and one grandson, Harry A. Gould.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Waldron Funeral Home in Mahaffey.
Additional viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, the time of the service, at the Mt. Carmel Church in Clover Run with Pastor Roger McGary officiating.
Interment will follow at Rock Springs Cemetery.
