Ann M. Wehrle, 83, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at Mahoning Riverside Manor, Punxsutawney.

She was born March 1, 1928, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late James and Irene (Kline) McCullough.

June 27, 1948, she married Thomas J. Wehrle, who preceded her in death June 2, 1985.

Mrs. Wehrle was a member of Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.
She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America and the Rosary Altar Society.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Marcia Parise of Punxsutawney; four sons, Thomas "Barney" Wehrle and wife Diane of Rossiter, James Wehrle and wife Cathy of Punxsutawney, William Wehrle and wife Sue of Woodlands, Texas, and George Wehrle and wife Carol of Rossiter; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a brother, Timothy McCullough, of Ocala, Fla.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Audrey Wehrle; a sister, Catherine Jones; two brothers, James McCullough and George McCullough; an infant grandchild; and a son-in-law, Tony Parise.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, 2011, at SS.C.D. with the Rev. Msgr. Joseph Riccardo officiating.

Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery in Punxsutawney.

The family has suggested that memorials in Mrs. Wehrle's memory be made to the SS.C.D. School or A.J. Parise Youth Football.
