Angelo Bleggi, Jr., 88, of Punxsutawney, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Mulberry Square in Punxsutawney.

He was born March 18, 1924, the son of the late Angelo and Florence Bleggi.

He was a truck driver and worked for many years as a coal miner.

He was married to Hazel (Powell) Reddinger, who survives.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Boots; and by two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving relatives include his wife; two sons, Angelo Frank Bleggi and Bernard Lee Bleggi; a daughter, Margaret Black; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters; five step-children, Ray, Gary, Mark and David Reddinger and Patty Kellar; 10 step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; and a very special friend, Ripp.

Angelo loved to cook, fish, hunt, garden, mow grass and do mechanical work.

He loved his family.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation, and services will be private.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Richard L. Fait Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the MS Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
