Althea M. Peace, 83, Reynoldsville, died Monday, Oct. 29, 2012, at home.

She was born Dec. 24, 1928, in Elmira, N.Y., a daughter of the late Herman Murray and Iva Bliss Murray.

Dec. 24, 1946, she married Robert C. Peace, who preceded her in death on April 30, 2002.

Mrs. Peace was a homemaker. She was Protestant in faith.

Surviving relatives include a son, Gregory W. Peace and wife Cynthia of Reynoldsville; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Marlin Murray of Reynoldsville.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert L. Peace; a grandson; a brother, Lawrence Murray; and a sister, Jean Hanst.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at the Bernard P. Synder Funeral Home, Reynoldsville.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at the funeral home.

Interment will be at Sandy Valley Cemetery in Reynoldsville.
