Alma Bush, 68, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Feb. 28, 2014, at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.

Mrs. Bush was born Aug. 28, 1945, in Timblin, a daughter of the late Austin and Della (Mogle) McDonald.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James W. Bush Sr.

Alma was a member of the Church of the Nazerene in Punxsutawney.

She was an avid quilter and an excellent cook and baker. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by four sons, James Bush Jr. and wife Victoria of Punxsutawney, Randy Bush and wife Gina of Punxsutawney, Tom Bush and wife Michelle of Venus, and Jeff Bush and wife April of Punxsutawney; two daughters, Patricia McKinney and fiancé Lawrence Hill of Punxsutawney and Crystal Bush and Tony Hilliard of Punxsutawney; two brothers, Sam McDonald and wife Gay of Home and James McDonald and wife Sue of Maryland; two sisters, Ruth Gamble of Rural Valley and Donna Reeger of Dayton; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, James, she was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy and Kevin Bush; one daughter, Denise Bush; one brother, William McDonald; and two sisters, Ella Mae Waltz and Sarah Blystone.

Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2014, at McCabe Funeral Home, Punxsutawney, where a funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Johnny Pennington officiating.

Private interment will follow at Smicksburg Cemetery.
