Alice Ruth Haney, 92

Alice Ruth Haney, 92, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Elizabeth Scott Community.

She was born on June 21, 1921, in Punxsutawney, to George and Alice (Huff) Bowersox.

Ruth was the past Madam President of the Maumee Eagles Auxiliary Lodge
2562, a member of the Maumee American Legion Post 320, a member of the Punxsutawney Elks Lodge 301 and a member of the Red Hat Society.

Ruth is survived by her children, daughter Alice Anne Taylor; son Terry (Nancy); son Richard; and daughter Tish (Robert) Fournier; grandchildren Renee (Michael) Pettinato, R.J. (Elisa) Fournier and Eric Haney; great-grandchildren Jessica, Alexis, John Michael, Kiersten, Corey and Emerson; sister Vera Cline; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Robert; granddaughter Cheryl Ott; sisters Olive, Dorothy, Marie and Georgia; and brother John.

Visitation for Ruth will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, at the Maison-Dardenne-Walker Funeral Home, 501 Conant St., Maumee, Ohio 43537.

Interment will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 12, 2013, at Circle Hill
Cemetery, Punxsutawney.
