Wrestlers to hit the mat for Senior Night....finally

After having its Senior Night delayed multiple times, the Punxsy wrestling team will hit the mat tonight against DuBois, and it will honor its senior wrestlers. The match will be the last team match of the season for the Chucks.

Tonight is a big night for the Lady Chucks. Not only will they battle the Lady Owls of Bradford for a tie for the regular season D-IX title, but they'll honor three players for Senior Night — Emily Horner, Taylor Newcome and Ashley Reitz — as well. The boys' basketball team will also be in action, as it'll travel to Bradford to conclude its regular season.

Both the girls' and boys' basketball teams will be in action tonight, as they'll take on the respective DuBois teams for the second time this year. Both the girls and boys both won their previous matchups against DuBois this season. The girls will be at home, while the boys will travel to DuBois.

Boys' basketball takes on St. Marys for Senior Night

While the girls' basketball team will travel to St. Marys for their final road game of the season, the boys' basketball team will play host to the Dutch. Seven Chucks — Will Curtis, Clayton Dale, Cory Geer, Michael Klingensmith, Brycen Lunger, Brandon Mancuso and Tyler Young — will be recognized prior to the game for Senior Night.

Girls' basketball looks for fourth straight win against Elk County Catholic

The Punxsutawney basketball programs are on a roll, as both the boys' and girls' basketball teams have won three straight games. Both teams will be in action tonight against Elk County Catholic, as the girls will play host, as the boys will travel out to Elk County.

Bradford — check. Brookville — check. The Punxsy boys' basketball team took care of two rivals in their last two games, and they look to make it three in a row tonight, as they'll play host to DuBois at home. Prior to the varsity game, the ninth-grade team and junior varsity team will take to the court to face DuBois, as well.

Girls' basketball team looks to take down DuBois

After a quiet day at the varsity level, the girls' basketball team will start the action back up as it travels to DuBois to take on the Lady Beavers. Tip time is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.

Chucks to host the Bobcats on the mat tonight

The Punxsy wrestling teams continues its busiest time of the year, as they'll play host to the Clarion Bobcats tonight at the Punxsutawney Area High School. Prior to varsity competition, the junior high Chucks will take to the mat, as well.

Punxsy looks for revenge in rematches against Bradford

The Punxsy boys' basketball and the Punxsy girls' basketball will take on rival Bradford tonight, as both teams will look for revenge in a rematch of the 2013 D-IX title games. The boys will be at home, while the girls will travel out to Bradford. Both tip times are scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
