PUNXSUTAWNEY — The Punxsy eighth-grade boys' basketball team evened its record two games into the season with a dominant 46-16 victory over Brockway Wednesday night at home.

The Chucks (1-1) didn't allow a point during the second quarter, and that allowed them to cruise to the victory.

Punxsy led 26-8 at halftime before outscoring the Rovers 20-10 during the second half.

"We did a better job tonight defensively. We still tend to lose our man a little too often," Punxsy coach Glenn Good said. "Offensively, we did score (more), but we still are not running our sets well enough."
