PUNXSUTAWNEY — After their defeat to DuBois on Monday night, the Punxsy Minor League Softball All-Stars were in desperate need of a win in order to stay alive in their All-Star tournament.
Apparently, they were well aware of the dire consequences riding on this game, because they took no chances when they faced off against Fox Township on Wednesday night, whom they beat 11-1 in four innings of play.
If you mention DuBois around a Punxsy All-Star parent, chances are you'll notice a vein or two pop out of their neck as a rivalry fueled rage builds up inside of them. DuBois has defeated one All-Star team, and knocked out another thus far in an otherwise successful Punxsy All-Star season. They've been the thorn in Punxsy's side, the rain on their parade and the dirty band-aid in their ice-cream.
