BELLEFONTE â After only having five bouts on the year through last Friday, Punxsy doubled its wrestling match total in a single day.
Last Saturday, the Chucks took part in the Bellefonte Red Raider Rumble.
Punxsy claimed two wins in five team matches as it defeated Crestwood (39-32) and State College (38-34).
In the other action of the all-day event, Punxsy dropped decisions to Hazleton (51-22), Downingtown (45-27) and Exeter (49-15).
The Punxsy 6th-grade boys' basketball tournament team posted three wins in four games during last weekend's two-day event hosted by the Punxsutawney Community Center.

CLARION â After recording its first win of the season, the Punxsy junior high wrestling team could not make it two in a row on Tuesday night.
In a match of seven scoring bouts and nine forfeits, the junior Chucks garnered only two victories to drop their meeting with the Bobcats of Clarion, 49-33.
Alex Young (165) and Levi Campbell (145) picked up the pair of visiting wins. Young pinned his opponent, while Campbell won by decision.
