PUNXSUTAWNEY — After reclaiming the Route 36 trophy a week ago, the Punxsy Chucks will look to build off the winning momentum in its first road contest of the 2012 gridiron season tonight against the Union Knights.
The Chucks will have their work cut out for them as they will face a veteran Knights squad, who is trying to recapture its past football success as a long time member of the Keystone Shortway Conference.
PUNXSUTAWNEY — With the contest tied at halftime, the Punxsy boys' soccer team blitzed Curwensville with three goals in the opening seven minutes of the second half to roll to a 7-2 victory in its home opener.
The Chucks (3-1) received a pair of goals from both senior Ty Zimmerman and junior Brycen Lunger to pace the offense.
Trevor Peace, Kevin Hughes and Tanner Evans chipped in a goal apiece of the seven-goal afternoon.
