PLAYING THE WAITING GAME

Members of the Groundhog Little League's junior league team, Jefferson Grocery, look on from the dugout during a rain delay in what was scheduled to be a 6 p.m. contest with DuBois' Buriak Painting. Unfortunately, looming storm clouds and lightning in the distance forced the game to be postponed to a later date, and the only game the teams were able to play was the waiting game.

Father and son did it again, as Ray (left) and Ryan Flick each nabbed opening-day turkeys — last Saturday — at 7:30 a.m. while hunting in Gaskill Township. Ray's gobbler weighed in at 18 pounds with an 11-inch beard, while Ryan's was a 20-pounder with an eight-inch beard.
