DUBOIS â The Brockway Rovers deep threats, combined with a strong fourth quarter from Clay Anderson, was too much for the Raiders to handle in their 56-40 loss in the consolation game at the DuBois Holiday tournament Saturday.
The Raiders faced the Rovers for the second time Saturday and gave them a much stronger effort than their 69-24 loss in the championship game of the Brookville tip-off tournament on Dec. 8.
DUBOIS â In what was a close game for most of the contest, the DuBois Beavers were able to pull away in the fourth quarter to best Brookville, 57-42, in the opening round of the Holiday tournament Friday night.
"We turned the ball over a little bit and we got a little impatient at times against their press and forced some things... I thought our transition defense hurt us even more than that with (not) getting back defensively and giving up a couple freebies," said Kevin Wolfe, Raiders varsity coach.
