Punxsy girls' basketball blisters Brookville

December 14, 2012

PUNXSUTAWNEY – In the latest edition of the Route 36 Rivalry, the red and white team from the south breezed its way to the winner’s circle.

The Punxsy girls basketball blistered Brookville with its relentless defense and balanced scoring in a 63-27 romp.

“Defensive pressure,” bluntly said Punxsy coach Randy Reitz. “The kids are relentless. They play hard four quarters for 32 minutes.”

Reitz continued, “We’re deep and we bring in one (player) in after another to keep that pressure on and wear teams down.”
