PUNXSUTAWNEY â Leading 6-0 in the bottom of the fifth inning, Punxsy's 13- and 14-year old VFW All-Stars had to be thinking, "Rain, rain go away," as they saw the storm clouds rolling in, but the game was delayed in the fifth inning due to lightning, and after an hour delay, Philipsburg came back and defeated Punxsy 10-8 in the finale of the round-robin Area 6 tournament.
Punxsy's ace, Brycen Paulinellie, was pitching a gem through five innings, allowing no runs on two hits and striking out seven. But after the delay, Punxsy decided better safe than sorry and brought in a new pitcher.

Stello has competed in the McDonald's Steelers Trivia Challenge four different times, with his three-person teams having been selected from hundreds of participants each year.
EDINBORO â Punxsy's 10- and 11-year old Little League Softball All-Stars opened its Section 1 tournament Thursday with a 6-5 loss in eight innings at the hands of Harborcreek in Edinboro.
Punxsy automatically won the District 10 bid, because there were no other 10- and 11-year old All-Star teams in the district.
The two teams combined for seven of the 11 total runs in the eighth inning alone.
Punxsy scored three runs in the top half of the eighth inning, but was unable to control the Harborcreek bats, allowing them to score four in the bottom half of the frame to win.
