PUNXSUTAWNEY â Punxsy's junior varsity softball team used a six run third inning to cruise past St. Marys 12-2 in five innings Thursday afternoon in Punxsy.
The Lady Chucks (2-0), who finished the game with 14 hits, limited St. Marys (0-1) to five hits.
Punxsy's Sarah London and Ashley Bacha combined to shut down the Lady Dutch's line up, striking out eight batters. London struck out three batters over the first three innings, allowing two runs, but picked up the win.
