1. Thursday is going to be a monumental day for 32 players and their families once they receive the call from an NFL representative to confirm that they are a first-round draft pick. Then, once they wake up Friday, a sad reality will set in that they aren't getting paid and won't be able to do what they were drafted to do — play football — indefinitely.

Three Lady Chucks win at Indiana Invite

INDIANA — Punxsy's Alexis Young, Santana Smith, Karah Hollis took advantage of nice weather last Thursday at the Indiana Area girls' 9th and 10th grade track meet to win individual championships.

Young finished first in the 1,600-meter run (5:43), while Hollis earned wins in the 100-meter (13.0) and 200-meter dash (28.00) and Smith won the shot put (30-2).

Barry Young, head coach of the Lady Chucks, said this was a breakthrough performance for Hollis.
