LADY CHUCKS CROSS COUNTRY TEAM HONORED AT ANNUAL BANQUET

The Punxsutawney girls' cross country team held its annual banquet Tuesday night to honor the hard work and effort put forth by the team's members this season. The team also handed out awards to some of ITS players. Pictured are (front, from left) Logan Brooks, Kaston Mohney, Kirsten Dean, Elissa Hill, Ala Small (All-District Second Team), Juliann Boddorf (All-District First Team); (back) Alexis Young (Most points and All-District First Team), Hannah Rummel (Most Improved), Marissa Greenblatt, Kayla Carpenter (Most Seasonal Bests), Jenna Knox, Tamara Anthony and Heidi Rodgers.

The Punxsutawney boys' cross country team held its annual banquet Tuesday night to honor the hard work and effort put forth by the team's members this season. The team also handed out awards to some of its players. Pictured are (front, from left) Bo Dinger, Dane Baker (Team leader in points); (middle) Jerad Meterko, Nathan Ward, Derik Kelly; (back) William Boddorf, Seth Burkett, Zachary Moore, Eric Ingros and Luke Fugate. The athletes were given personalized plaques commemorating their accomplishments this season by head coach John Smith.

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL HUNT

Gordon Bish, of Shelocta, bagged this six-by-six Bull Elk Oct. 31. Bish was hunting from the "Sun of a Bish" camp, which is located in Potter County. He was hunting with his father and son and had the assistance of Hick's Run Outfitters. The elk was bagged one mile east of Sinnemahoning in Cameron County.
