Rev. John N. Kunselman, 77, of Youngsville and formerly of Punxsutawney, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday evening, April 23, 2014.
He was born Oct. 10, 1936, in Elbon, Pa.
Rev. Kunselman attended God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, graduating in 1960.
In the summer of 1959, he spent two months in Cuba doing missionary work with the Rev. and Mrs. Shreeve.
He began his ministry at the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Springcreek in 1960, serving there until 1967.
Daniel Craig Newcome, 74, of Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born Aug. 25, 1939, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late William and Clara (Beer) Newcome.
He held a masterâ€™s degree in education and was a schoolteacher.
He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served as a Lt. Commander in the United States Navy.
Gretchen Irene Pattison, 73, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born Sept. 9, 1940, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Ashael and Mary (Welsh) Pattison.
Ms. Pattison was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church and was active and involved with the church events and functions.
Gretchen had previously worked at Prammco/Sportswear, Hoffman Diamond Products, Brookville Glove Factory and, lastly, as a lunch monitor at West End and Longview Elementary schools.
Maxine Seger, 96, of Lower Burrell, formerly of Punxsutawney, passed away Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Fairwinds Manor in Sarver.
Services were private for family, and burial was at Worthville Cemetery.
Arrangements were through the McCabe Funeral Home of Punxsutawney.
Phyllis Ann Stephenson, 68, of Lancaster, passed away on April 18, 2014.
Born in Clearfield, Pa., she was the daughter of the late John F. and Lila (Speicher) Stephenson.Â
She is survived by one sister, Mary E. Yarnal; six nieces and nephews, John S. Stephenson, Daniel K. Stephenson, Frank Yarnal, Stephanie Van Deusen, Shawnne Welch and Sharlynn Mavrich; and five great-nieces and nephews, Benjamin, Ian and Jack Van Deusen and Hannah and Madeline Welch.
Phyllis was preceded in death by a brother, John H. Stephenson.
Esther M. Kendra, 91, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, April 22, 2014, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
She was born March 14, 1923, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Clair and Irene (Rodger) Baker.
On June 11, 1958, she married Gerald Joseph (Jerry) Kendra, who preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2002.
She was a housewife and enjoyed sewing and cooking.
John C. Reitz, Sr., 75, of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, April 21, 2014, at his home.
Mr. Reitz was born March 6, 1939, in Strattanville, a son of the late Irvin and Ruth (Buck) Reitz.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mamie E. (Shirey) Reitz.
John loved hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by four sons, John C. Reitz, Jr. and wife Pam of Rural Valley and Randy L. Reitz, Jeffery S. Reitz and Rob L. Reitz and wife

Ronald Albert Stimach, 58, of Glen Campbell, died Monday, April 21, 2014, in Burnside Township, Clearfield County, Pa.
The son of Albert Richard Stimach and Rachel LaVada â€śVadaâ€ť (Mumau) Stimach, he was born on Dec. 19, 1955, in Indiana.
Ron had been a member of the Glen Campbell American Legion.
He was self-employed as the owner and operator of Stimach Trucking.
Ron found great joy in spending time with his dog, Coco. He also enjoyed watching television.
Mary C. Strawcutter, 77, of Mayport, died early Tuesday morning, April 22, 2014, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.
She was born on May 4, 1936, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of Charles and Maize (Hilliard) Hull.
She was married on Oct. 30, 1954, to Melvin W. Strawcutter, and he survives.
In addition to her husband, Melvin, she is also survived by a daughter, Marlene Shick and husband John of Ringgold; two sons, Mervin Strawcutter and wife Mary and Mark Strawcutter and wife Nancy, both of Mayport; eight grandchildren; one step-grandson; and one great-grandchild.
