Jacquelyn Walker, 55, of Anita, died on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on April 6, 1958, in Punxsutawney, the daughter of John "Jack" and Betty Jean (Schutz) Zeedick.
She was married to David E. Walker, who survives.
She was a special needs bus aide/warehouse person/cafeteria aide/traffic director for the Punxsutawney Area School District.
She is survived by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Nikki Shank and husband Randy of Punxsutawney; one sister, Ruth Ann Zeedick of Salamanca, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
MaryEllen Delp, 43, of Brookville, died on Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, at DuBois Regional Medical Center in DuBois.
Born on Feb. 20, 1970, in Easton, Pa., she was the daughter of Stanley Paul Miller (Elaine), who survives in Mount Bethel, Pa., and Lynda Jean Hughes, who survives in Bangor, Pa.
On May 10, 1996, in Bangor, Pa., she married Charles E. Delp Jr., who survives.
She worked as a school bus driver for Krise Bus Co. in Punxsutawney, and for Jefferson-Clarion Co. Head Start.
Howard Lewis Buck, 80, of Brookville, died on Monday, Dec. 16, 2013 at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.
Born on April 22, 1933, Howard was the son of Admiral Frank Buck and Ida Mae Tice Buck.
On Jan. 31, 1958, he married Avrilla Hilliard, who survives, in South Bethlehem, Pa.
Lynn Albert Davidson, 87, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born on Aug. 28, 1926, in Mahaffey, a son of the late Ash Neal and Nora Mae (Roberts) Davidson.
He was a member of Cloe United Methodist Church.
Mr. Davidson was a member of the United States Army, serving during World War II.
On Aug. 28, 1944, he married the former Edith Mae Sndyer, who survives.
He enjoyed woodworking, and he built many things for his home. He also liked to watch sports, especially the Steelers.
Ginger Lee Poorman, 62, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, Dec. 16, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born on Nov. 9, 1951, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and was raised the daughter of Ivan and Mabel Lansberry.
On Sept. 15, 1967, she married William Henry Poorman, Jr., who survives.
Ginger previously enjoyed volunteering for Community Action, Inc. She was awarded a plaque for her service.
She enjoyed playing Bingo, drawing and sewing.
Sophia Gabriel Pearce, newborn infant, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
Born Dec. 13, 2013, Sophia was the daughter of Kenesha Channelle Pearce of Glen Campbell and Derek Robert Miller of Indiana.
Surviving relatives include her maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Wendy (Burge) Pearce of Glen Campbell; her maternal great-grandfather, Robert Pearce of Home; her paternal grandparents, Patty (Himes) Grant and husband Dave of Indiana and Jim Miller and wife Tracy of Rossiter; and her paternal great-grandparents, Robert and Grace Himes of Rochester Mills.
Frederick James Acre, 75, of Anita, died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
He was born Sept. 16, 1938, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late Harold Frederick Acre and Georgeina (Hobba) Podgers, who survives and resides in Punxsutawney.
Fred served in the United States Air Force. He was very patriotic and proud of his service to our country.
On March 10, 1962, he married Helen Marlene Kuntz. They celebrated 50 loving years together.
He worked as a welder, first with Pittsburgh Des Moines Steel, and later for Jefferson Machine for over 25 years.
Gerald "Jerry" Edward Battaglia, 71, of Brookville, died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Scenery Hill Manor in Indiana.
Born Oct. 12, 1942, in Brookville, he was a son of the late Edward Dominick and Josephine Frances (Cesario) Battaglia.
Mr. Battaglia was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church.
"Jerry" was co-owner of the former of Jerry's Pizza Shop in Brookville.
He was a member of the Brookville Eagles No. 983, and a former social member of Brookville and Pine Creek fire companies.
Jerry was a well-known character in the downtown area of Brookville.
Robert M. Boston, 62, Rossiter, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2013.
He was born on April 19, 1951, a son of the late Frances and Anna Elizabeth â€śBettyâ€ť (Esposito) Boston.
On April 19, 1975, he married Darlene M. Ankeny, who survives.
He had two daughters and a grandson who he loved greatly.
He was a member of the Uniontown Church of Christ in Cherry Tree.
He served in the U.S. Army in the Air Defense Artillery during the Vietnam War.
He was employed by Jefferson Grocery where he worked as a warehouseman and a truck driver.
Neal D. Davis, 88, of Smithville, Pa., died Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Indiana, Pa.
The son of David and Blanche (Neil) Davis, he was born on June 4, 1925, in Canoe Twp., Indiana County.
Neal served in the U.S. Navy as seaman second class during World War II.
He had worked as a truck driver for Interstate Amesite and as a rock truck driver for Benjamin Coal Company.
Neal had hauled local coal for years, as well as driving truck for Murray â€śMurfâ€ť Smith.
Neal enjoyed stock car racing.
