Kathy K. (Stewart) Simon, 63, Erie, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at her residence following a brief illness.
She was born June 30, 1947, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Thomas and Martha (Myers) Stewart.
Ms. Simon had resided in Erie since 1968.
She retired from Seaway Manufacturing Company after 30 years of employment. She had previously been employed part-time by the Barber National Institute and Hamot Medical Center. She especially enjoyed shopping.

Georgieann Gaston, 64, Punxsutawney, passed away Saturday, May 7, 2011, at her home.
Mrs. Gaston was born Feb. 19, 1947, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late George and Eleanor (Barnoff) Stamler.
She was married to Shawn B. Gaston, who survives, of Punxsutawney.

Randall L. Sharp, 63, Dudley, N.C., formerly of Punxsutawney, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at his home after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease.Â
He was born Jan. 18, 1948, in Jamestown, N.Y., the son of Clifford and Marion Sharp.
Mr. Sharp was an accomplished athlete at Jamestown High School, where he starred as a tailback in football and a sprinter in track.
He then went to Clarion University, where he continued his football career.Â
Prior to his retirement, Mr. Sharp was a longtime self-employed carpenter in Punxsutawney and then in Dudley, N.C. Â

Donald W. Finley, 72, passed away suddenly Monday, May 2, 2011, at his residence.
He was born in Charleroi, a son of William L. Finley and Ruth Little, who preceded him in dealth.
In 1956, he graduated from Punxsutawney High School.
After graduation, he served in the Army Reserve. From there, he moved to the Philadelphia area, where he became a certified technician for Thiokol Chemical in New Jersey. He also worked for Western Electric and later at ATT Bell Labs, where he co-authored a patent for one of their chemical procedures.

Gaynelle (Nanz) Borts, 93, Punxsutawney, died Monday, May 2, 2011, at Mahoning Riverside Manor, Punxsutawney.
She was born July 1, 1917, in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late William F. Nanz and LaRue (Bhe) Nanz Thomas.
June 17, 1944, she married Marley B. Borts, who preceded her in death Oct. 7, 2008.
Mrs. Borts was a life member of the First English Lutheran Church.

June 17, 1944, she married Marley S. Borts, who preceded her in death Oct. 7, 2008.
Mrs. Borts was a life member of the First English Lutheran Church.
Raymond "Bud" Carl Steele, 85, Smicksburg, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011, while recovering from prolonged surgical problems in the intensive care unit of Armstrong County Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 14, 1952, in South Mahoning Township, a son of the late Alvord and Irene (Johnston) Steele.
June 12, 1948, he married Helen (Pearce) Steele, his wife of 49 years, who preceded him in death in March 1998.
Mr. Steele was a long-time member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, located in Trade City.
Daniel Joseph Shively, 23, Bishop, Calif., formerly of Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011, in Eureka, Calif.
He was born April 25, 1988, in Punxsutawney, a son of Daniel W. Shively and Stacey R. Serian Love, who survive.
He graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 2006.
Mr. Shively was Methodist by faith and attended Calvary United Methodist Church in Rossiter.
He was an accomplished musician who played guitar, drums and keyboard, and he had recently completed recording his first 18-track rap album.

Kevin B. Sutter Jr., 22, Timblin, died Saturday, April 30, 2011, in Timblin.
He was born March 31, 1989, in Punxsutawney, a son of Kevin Sutter Sr. and Minnie Duperee, who survive.
Mr. Sutter was a laborer and worked at PW Hardwood in Brookville.
In addition to his parents, surviving relatives include four brothers, Cody Hartzfeld of Punxsutawney, Brandon Duperee of Centerville, Va., Trevor Sutter of Timblin, and Troy Sutter of Timblin; a sister, Angie Davis of Virginia Beach, Va.; one niece; and one nephew.
Harry E. Hibbard, 92, Punxsutawney, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Mulberry Square Elder Care and Rehabiltation Center, Punxsutawney.
He was born Jan. 7, 1919, in Eleanora, the son of the late Henry and Mary Ann (Scadden) Hibbard.
May 4, 1940, he married Martha (Kovalyak) Hibbard, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Hibbard was a laborer and worked for PennDOT.
