Charles Dean Bell, 80

Charles Dean Bell, 80, of New Bethlehem, passed away Monday, Aug. 11, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his family and friends.

He was born on Nov. 12, 1933, to Clarence Monroe and Pearl Edna (Reed) Bell in Dora, Jefferson County.

Dean attended the Distant Baptist Church.

He graduated from Brookville High School in 1952.

Dean retired in 1985 from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, Armstrong County, as an engineer.

He was a former deputy game warden from 1960-1965 in Jefferson and Clarion counties.

William H. Powell, 56

William H. Powell, 56, of Knox Dale, died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2014, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 4, 1957, in Punxsutawney, the son of Harold “Hud” and Janet E. (Burford) Powell.

He married Paula L. (Hess) on Oct. 23, 1998.

Bill was a truck driver and served in the United States Army Reserve.

He loved his family and his dogs. He was an avid sports fan, especially fond of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also enjoyed riding his side-by-side and hunting.

Charles Henry “Chub” Irvin, 92

August 19, 2014

Charles Henry “Chub” Irvin, 92, passed away on March 10, 2013, in Glendale, Arizona.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1920, in Big Run, the son of Benjamin W. Irvin and Mae Laura Bowers.

Chub attended Big Run High School and graduated from Mercersburg Academy.

He enjoyed playing tennis and baseball and swimming.

After serving in World War II in the Army Air Force (P-38 Squadron), he spent his working years at the Citizens National Bank of Big Run in every capacity, retiring as bank CEO in 1985.

Allen W. Fisher, 27

Allen W. Fisher, 27, of Punxsutawney (Troutville area), died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at home with his family after a long illness.

He was born Oct. 27, 1986, a son of the late William E. Fisher and Amanda (Miller) Fisher. She survives.

Allen enjoyed the company of others and being around friends and family.

Marlene Raye Pringle, 70

Marlene Raye Pringle, 70, of Punxsutawney, passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Snyder Memorial Health Care in Marienville.

Miss Pringle was born June 1, 1944, in Johnstown.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by one sister, Donna Pringle of Punxsutawney; one brother, Thomas Pringle and wife Jessie of Somerset; and a sister-in-law, Valerie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, William "Butch" Pringle and Joseph Pringle, and one sister, Shirley Yahner.

Hertha G. Mokluk, 87

Hertha Gertrude Mokluk, 87, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

She was born Sept. 7, 1926, in Burgstadt, Germany, the daughter of the late Kurt and Freatia (Lantgrat) Seifert.

She was first married to Paul Chischnijak, who preceded her in death.

She then married William Mokluk, who also preceded her in death.

She was a member of St. Edwards Roman Catholic Church in Philadelphia.

Bonnie J. Tangren, 88

August 18, 2014

Bonnie J. Tangren, 88, of DuBois, formerly of Punxsutawney, went to be with the Lord, Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at DuBois Nursing Home.

Mrs. Tangren was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Elmer and Kathryn (Hill) Emberg.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Tangren, on Feb. 2, 2010.

Mrs. Tangren worked for A.O. Smith and Keyser Aluminum in Erie.

After returning to Punxsutawney, she was employed by Rola Jensen before retirement.

Bonnie was a member of the United Transportation Union.

Rexford L. “Rex” Huber, 90

Rexford L. “Rex” Huber, 90, of North Point, Pa., passed away Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 13, 1923, in Hunter’s Grove, Jefferson County, Pa., the son of Jeremiah “Jerry” and Eva Lena (Johns) Huber.

Rex graduated from Dayton High School in 1942 and honorably served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Dorothy C. Snyder on May 24, 1947, and in 1958, they moved to the family farm in West Mahoning Township. It was there that they spent the rest of their years together.

Marcia Anna Humble, 57

Marcia Anna Humble, 57, of Washington, Pa., died on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, in her home.

She was born on Dec. 13, 1956, in Harrison, Pa., the daughter of the late John and Mary McGarry Bell.

Marcia graduated from Punxsutawney Area High School in 1974.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed reading.

Surviving are a son, Eric Humble, also of Washington, Pa.; a daughter, Dana (Wells) Krencik of Ellsworth; a sister, Mary James of Punxsutaw-
ney; and a grandson, Curtis Krencik.

At the request of the family, all services are private.

Rocky Collarini, 54

Rocky Collarini, 54, Punxsutawney, Pa., died Aug. 16, 2014, at UPMC
Hospital in Pittsburgh.

He was born April 30, 1960, the son of the late Robert Collarini Sr and
