Mary Lou â€śMillieâ€ť Bonadio, 86, of Somerset, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at her home.
She was born Jan. 14, 1927, in New Martinsville, W.V., a daughter of the late Clarence Lee and Maude Evelyn (Smith) Prichard.
Millie was a 1945 graduate of Punxsutawney High School.
Until her retirement, she was co-owner/operator of Pennsylvania Propane, along with her husband, the late Francis Anthony â€śTonyâ€ť Bonadio, who preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 2009.
She was a member of St. Peterâ€™s Catholic Church and the Homemakers Club.
Sara Abram, 78, of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, Dec. 5, 2013, at Mulberry Square Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Ms. Abram was born Oct. 13, 1935, in Brockway, the only daughter of the late James R. and Vaughn R. (Robinson) Marshall.
Sara was a long-time resident at Lane Avenue Care Home.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney, where a service will be held at noon with Joeseph Buterbaugh officiating.
Private interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Brockway.
Mary Margaret Paris, 58, of Reynoldsville, died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born May 20, 1955, a daughter of the late Raymond Edwin Long Sr. and Irene Catherine (Felisky) Long.
Mary was the wife of James C. Paris, and they had 29 great years together.
She enjoyed flower gardening and working around her home.
Mary worked as a housekeeper, in which she took much pride.
Through her care and dedication to her work, many of her customers also became her friends.
Patrick Allen Reitz, Sr., 67, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
He was born June 17, 1946, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late Irvin and Ruth (Buck) Reitz.
He was married to the former Linda Stewart, who survives.
He was employed as a welder in the construction industry.
He is survived by his wife, Linda; one son, Patrick "Allen" Reitz, Jr. and wife Patti; and by one daughter, Raquel McConnaughey and husband Mike; and by four grandchildren, Jesse Reitz, Brendon Reitz, Shelby Gray and Sydney McConnaughey.
Faye Eileen Stormer, 69, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at home.
She was born Aug. 10, 1944, at Lake Linden, Mich., a daughter of the late Rev. Ernest Hugo and Elma "Marie" (Halkola) Nelson.
On July 17, 1965, she married Jerry Dean Stormer,Â whoÂ survives.
She was a secretary for the Soil Conservation, FAA and Assembly of God Church for more than 25 years.
Faye was also a Sunday School teacher, Missionette leader and a member of Women's Ministries for many years.
She last attended Tri-County Church in DuBois. Â
Gayle L. Stewart, 72, of Lebanon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, at Good Samaritan Hospital.
Born in Mahaffey, Pa., on Aug. 24, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Dr. David Edgar and Eunice (Smith) Miller.
She was a motorcycle enthusiast and an avid football fan.
She was proud to be an alumni of Penn State University, where she earned her masterâ€™s degree in parks and recreation.
Mary L. Peace, 78, of Punxsutawney, formerly of Tionesta, Pa., and Conneaut Lake, Pa., died on Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013, surrounded by family at her home in Punxsutawney.
She was born on July 6, 1935, in Rossiter, a daughter of the late Clark and Iola (Hayes) Gould.
On Jan. 1, 1955, in Rossiter, she married John â€śJayâ€ť Peace, who died on June 27, 1998.
She was employed by Alltel Corp in the Customer Service Dept. until retiring in 1996.
Sharon E. Jewell, 56, of Dayton, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, following a nearly three-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born on July 27, 1957, in Punxsutawney, and was the daughter of Melvin and Shelvia (Good) Troup.
She was married on Aug. 2, 1980, to Richard E. Jewell, and he survives.
Sharon was a homemaker in the true sense of the word.
She was selfless and kind, always taking care of her family and giving and doing for others.
She was a member of the Oakland Church of God in Distant.
Janet M. Dinger of Northview Drive, Brookville, beloved wife of Harold F. (Pete) Dinger, and daughter of Cloyd (Link) Lingenfelter and Ruby Diener Lingenfelter, passed away from natural causes on Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013.
She was 78 years old and had been a resident of the Jefferson Manor for the past four years.
Janet was born in Brookville on April 3, 1935, and graduated as salutatorian from Brookville Area High School in 1953.
She was married to Pete Dinger in 1954 and lived in Brookville, where they raised their family.
Cecil James Payne, 89, formerly of Punxsutawney, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.
He was born March 7, 1924, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late Henry James and Ivy Theola (Bowen) Payne.
He was married to Elizabeth Ann (Jordan) Payne, who preceded him in death on Jan. 18, 2003.
For many years, he owned and operated the Payne and Pennington Television Sales and Service Center in Punxsutawney.
Cecil played the clarinet in the Punxsutawney High School Band, as well as playing in many local bands.
