Franklin G. â€śGlazeâ€ť Lingenfelter, 84, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Jefferson Manor Health Center, Brookville.
He was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Perry Township, a son of the late Marion G. â€śSimonâ€ť and Mabel P. (Bush) Lingenfelter.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator and drove truck.
He loved driving, going for rides, hunting, gardening and mowing on his John Deere tractors.
He was a member of the Moose and the American Legion.
Nancy Lee (Mahorney) Cook, 65, of DuBois, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1948, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late James and Marie Mahorney.
She was married to Roy F. Cook, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Sandra K. (Klohr) Tyger, 47, of Marion Center, Pa., died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
The daughter of George F. Klohr, Sr. and Nancy (Orcutt) Klohr, she was born on Dec. 19, 1965, in Punxsutawney.
Sandra married her husband, Robert S. Tyger, on June 27, 1984.
Frank M. Amundson, 70, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Amundson was born April 30, 1943, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late Frank B. Amundson and Eleanor (McCullough) Amundson.
He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Renne) Amundson of Punxsutawney.
Mr. Amundson was the President of Femco Machine Company, which he
co-owned with his father and brother from 1964 to 1994.
Monabell D. Bair, 76, Rossiter, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Mulberry Square.
She was born March 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Andrew and June (Seger) Zemlin.
She was married to Charles Bair, who preceded her in death on April 25, 1991.
She enjoyed her family, grandchildren and gardening.
Faye E. Martz, 97, Ringgold, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at McKinley Health Center, Brookville.
She was born Oct. 13, 1915, in Ringgold, a daughter of the late Edith (Stewart) and Ralph R. Young, Sr.
On May 17, 1939, she married James E. Martz. They were married for 72 wonderful years. He preceded her in death on Feb. 23, 2013.
She was a member of the St. James Lutheran Church in Ringgold, and also the PASR, AAUW and the LCW.
Margaret Lillian Peace Hauck, age 90, of Ellenboro, N.C., died Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at her residence.
Margaret was born June 10, 1923, in Clearfield County, Pa., to the late Reese Irvin Peace and Kathryn Melinda Shepler Peace.Â
Robert Clair Shaffer, 82, of Pansy Ringgold Road, Summerville, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Jefferson Manor.
Robert was born on Oct. 1, 1930, at the family home on Pansy Ringgold Road, a son of the late Clair Charles and Melda Mae (Spare) Shaffer.
On July 13, 1951, he married the former Alice Jean Sushereba. She survives.
Early in his career he worked for the U.S. Dept of Agriculture, then on to Sylvania. He then owned and operated the Interchange Sunoco, which was located at the intersection of routes 28 and 322, until 1965.
Ethel M. Kolodick, 90, died with her family at her side, Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2013, at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.
She was born Sept. 22, 1922, in Horatio, Pa., a daughter of the late Stephen and Anna (Hardick) Gresock.
On Feb. 11, 1942, in Punxsutawney, she married the late Joseph Kolodick.
She was a member of the Saint Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
Mrs. Kolodick was a member of the Ladies Altar Society and the Rosary Society.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cook.
Chet A. Haddow, 33, of Rossiter, passed away Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, in Perry Twp.
Mr. Haddow was born Nov. 17, 1979, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Gary E. Haddow and Cathy (Emerick) Haddow.
Spending time with his family and friends was what he loved most.
He was employed in the Marcellus Shale industry and really enjoyed his work.
Chet is survived by a brother, Chad E. Haddow of Indiana; a sister, Tammy Courteau and husband Brian of Erie; his grandmother, Dorothy Haddow of Cape Coral, Fla.; and his beloved friends, Kayla Hanley and Isaac Hanley.
