Terrance Lynn Hodgson, 72, of Punxsutawney, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at home.
He was born March 21, 1941, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Ralph and Edith (Wood) Hodgson Fye.
On March 21, 1964, he married the former Marcella Raye McAdoo. She survives.
Terry previously worked for P&N Coal, and Valier Coal Yard, as a parts man.
He enjoyed spending his time at Walker's Service Station.
Sara D. Fox, 75, of Big Run, died Monday, July 1, 2013, at Hamot Medical Center, Erie.
She was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Rossiter, a daughter of the late Hiriam and Mary Rebecca (Cressley) White.
On June 1, 1957, she married Charles Leroy Fox. He survives.
She was a member of the First Church of God in Punxsutawney.
Joseph Anthony Cianciotti, 67, of Punxsutawney, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at home.
He was born Dec. 20, 1945, in Yonkers, N.Y., a son of Nicholas Cianciotti of Cape Coral, Fla., and the late Olga (Valesquez) Cianciotti.
On Oct. 8, 1988, he married the former Monica Sue Mikelonis. She survives.
They would have celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in October.
He was a member of Saints Cosmas and Damian Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Cianciotti worked as a locomotive engineer for B&P Railroad for over 30 years.
Doug Clay Horne, Jr., 40, of Punxsutawney, died Sunday, June 30, 2013, at home.
He was born Feb. 27, 1973, in Punxsutawney, a son of Doug Clay Horne, Sr. and Earla Jane (Schaffer) Horne.
He was baptized at the First Christian Church.
Mr. Horne worked as a rock truck driver for Amfire Coal Company.
He was a hard worker and enjoyed working.
Doug was a big-hearted, family-oriented man who loved his children deeply.
He had a lot of caring friends who would have done anything for him.
His uncle, Homer Schaffer, was a very special man he looked up to and loved very much.
Max Eugene Shoffner, 86, of Kittanning, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at St. Joseph's Hospital, Andover, Ohio.
He was born on July 27, 1926, to John and Florence (Reed) Shoffner, in Timblin, Pa.
Max was co-owner of Shoffner Family Business, where he played an active role in all facets and co-owner of West Franklin Coal Co. with Russ Haller.
He was a member of the Kittanning Joint Water Authority for many years and was one of the founders of the Young Business Men's Association, along with John B. McCue and Steve Krizmanich.
Peggy A. Ryen, 62, Punxsutawney, died Thursday, June 27, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born Sept. 12, 1950, in New Kensington, a daughter of the late Marjorie Evelyn (Oberlin) and Paul Edgar Ryen.
She was a cosmetologist for 20 years and also had been employed as a bookkeeper.
She was a member of the Rochester Mills Presbyterian Church.
She loved being a mother and a grandmother.
She was known for her generosity and having a big heart.
She was a very compassionate and accepting woman and welcomed anybody into her home.
Robert Allen Meckley, 61, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at home.
He was born March 13, 1952, in Natrona Heights, Pa., the son of the late Blair William and Minerva Viola (Cessna) Meckley.
He was married to Rosemary (Boston) Meckley, who survives.
He was employed as a laborer at Thermal-Gard in Punxsutawney.
Margaret R. Jordan, 93, of Covode, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013, at her home.
She was born Nov. 5, 1919, in Canoe Township, a daughter of the late Pearl (Smith) and Adam States.
On March 3, 1941, she married Mervin W. Jordan, who preceded her in death on Feb. 11, 2013.
She was a member of the Covode United Methodist Church.
She loved spending time with her family, growing African Violets, gardening, crocheting, quilting, canning and her little dog, Oreo.
She first worked for Rosenthals and then worked in the junior high cafeteria.
William M. Babco, 74, of Gipsy, PA left this earth on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.
Married to the former Lois Marie (Limrick) on May 28, 1960, he was the father of four daughters: Deborah Horttor, now deceased, Theresa Babco and Scott Huffman, of Richmond Va., Kathryn Miller and husband Patrick of Cherry Tree and Patricia of Boston, Mass.
Rose Ella Smith, 84, of Glen Campbell, Pa., died Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Penn Mary, Pa., the daughter of the late Ralph and Juanita (Fuller) Lucas.
She was married to Stanley Smith, who survives, of Glen Campbell.
She worked as a machine operator for General Electric and later as a hairdresser.
She attended the Smithport Wesleyan Methodist Church.
