William M. Babco, 74, of Gipsy, PA left this earth on Tuesday, June 25, 2013.
Married to the former Lois Marie (Limrick) on May 28, 1960, he was the father of four daughters: Deborah Horttor, now deceased, Theresa Babco and Scott Huffman, of Richmond Va., Kathryn Miller and husband Patrick of Cherry Tree and Patricia of Boston, Mass.
Rose Ella Smith, 84, of Glen Campbell, Pa., died Monday, June 24, 2013, at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born Jan. 5, 1929, in Penn Mary, Pa., the daughter of the late Ralph and Juanita (Fuller) Lucas.
She was married to Stanley Smith, who survives, of Glen Campbell.
She worked as a machine operator for General Electric and later as a hairdresser.
She attended the Smithport Wesleyan Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley; her mother, Juanita (Fuller) Lucas: a son, Gerald Brandner of Glen Campbell; two brothers,
Concetta Cappella, 92, Punxsutawney, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.
She was born Oct. 10, 1920, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Concetta (Portafola) and Andrew Cappella.
She was a member of the Saints Cosmas and Damian Roman Catholic Church of Punxsutawney.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She was a supervisor at Pramco and Sportswear Company.
Surviving relatives include a sister, Louise Cappella; numerous nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Quinton F. Reams, 93, of Punxsutawney, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Reams was born June 12, 1920, in Punxsutawney, a son of the late Walter and Lena Agnes (Kuntz) Reams.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ryta S. (Stuchell) Reams.
Quinton was a proud veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army, 1st. Infantry.
He was a member of the VFW Post No. 2076, American Legion Post No. 62 and the Elks No. 301.
Troy J. Harper, 43, of Brookville, died at home Friday, June 21, 2013, after a hard-fought two-year battle against cancer.
Born Aug. 8, 1969, in Charleroi, Pa., he was the son of Rose Ann Fronzaglio Harper and the late William Harper.
He was a law partner at Dennison, Dennison & Harper Attorneys at Law.
Troy had much pride for the community and affiliated himself with many
Phyllis â€śJeanâ€ť Reitz, 83, Punxsutawney, died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at McKinley Health Center, Brookville.
She was born Nov. 13, 1929, a daughter of the late Charles R. and Arabell (Enterline) Alcorn.
On June 6, 1953, she married Ray R. Reitz in the Worthville Church.
He preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2000.
She was a member of the Cliff United Methodist Church.
She enjoyed cooking, baking, crocheting, gardening, canning, sewing and reading.
She was a member of the Ringgold Ladies Auxiliary and taught Sunday School and the Good News Club.
Priscilla Ann Bridge, 53, of Punxsutawney, died Thursday, June 20, 2013, at UPMC-Presbyterian Medical Center in Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born March 30, 1960, in Grove City, Pa., the daughter of Rev. George R. and Ida Belle (James) Krupp.
She was married to David C. Bridge, who survives.
She was a cafeteria worker for the Punxsutawney Area School District.
She attended the Tuesday Night Bible Study Group at St. Peter's United Church of Christ.
Her greatest joy in life was seeing her son, David, graduate from college.
Daniel J. Miller, 19, of Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at home.
Daniel was born May 9, 1994, in Spartansburg, Pa., a son of John J. and Susan Miller.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, John J. Miller Jr. and wife Mary Ann, and Mervin Miller; four sisters, Barbara Shetler and husband Freman, Susie Miller and husband John and Rebecca and Mary Ann Miller, all of Punxsutawney; his paternal grandfather, John W. Miller of Punxsutawney; and his maternal grandmother, Alma B. Miller of Knox.
Kenneth S. Filler, 80, of Akron, Ohio, passed away June 18, 2013.
Ken was born on July 1, 1932, in Rossiter, Pa., to the late Ira and Bertha Filler.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was a Korean War veteran. He was
employed for 22 years at Alside and for 6 years at Drosbach. He served as a custodian for 24 years at Tallmadge Local Schools and for 15 years at Church of the Master.
He was a longtime member of Tallmadge Wesleyan Methodist Church. Over
Marie E. Bennett, 80, of Clarion, formerly of Big Run, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at County Spring Personal Care Home, surrounded by her loving family and care givers.
Marie was born October 26, 1932, in New Millport, Clearfield County, a daughter of the late James M. and Sylvia Hullihen.
She was Protestant by faith.
On Jan. 22, 1948, she married the love of her life James F. Bennett, who preceded her in death Aug. 26, 2008.
