Dorothy I. Allenbaugh, 84, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at her home.
She was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Johnstown, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Nellie Mae (Dick) Cauffield.
On Nov. 9, 1946, she married Raymond R. Allenbaugh, who preceded her in death on Jan. 10, 1973.
She was a custodian for the Punxsutawney Area School District for 17 years and retired in 1991.
She loved puzzles, watching hockey (especially the Penguins) and spending time with her family.
Genevieve L. Edwards, 87, of Indiana, formerly of Clymer and Pittsburgh, died Friday, Sept. 27, 2013, at her home.
Born Jan. 2, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Gocal) Kubecker.
She was the widow of John Milton Edwards, who died in 1988.
For many years, she had been the organist at St. Anthonyâs Church in Clymer.
Jenny volunteered at the Indiana Guidance Center; was a member of AARPâs Evergreen Chapter; and belonged to the Indiana Players, Indiana Arts Council Suverna Dance Troupe and the Indiana Genealogical & Historical Society.
Robert âBobâ James Larson, 65, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2013, at his Corsica home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel C. and Christina Collins Larson; three brothers, baby Carl Larson, John Larson and Dave Larson; and four sisters, Hulda Rishel, Sophia Steck, Anna Public and Margaret Gall.
He is survived by three sisters, Carol Lunger, Catherine Nagel and Marion Coull; a daughter, Shelly Pifer Burkett and husband John; two grandchildren, Brady and Jaydie Burkett; two nephews, Dave Larson Jr. and wife Becky, and Matthew Larson; and several nieces and nephews.
John J. Tote, 91, of Punxsutawney, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at McKinley Health Center in Brookville.
Mr. Tote was born Nov. 14, 1921, the son of the late Stephen and Tilly (Chumbas) Tote.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rose M. (Barber) Tote.
Mr. Tote was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during World War II.
He was a member of SS. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.
He enjoyed carpentry, square dancing, polka, golfing and hunting and was an avid bingo player.
Patricia Ann âTrishâ Kruckow, age 60, of East Liberty Street in Punxsutawney, died Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at her home.
Born on Aug. 19, 1953, in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph L. and Ruth N. (Richards) Kruckow. They both survive and live in DuBois.
She worked for many years with the disabled at various group homes in the area.
She enjoyed bowling, yard sales and working outdoors. She loved Groundhog Day and all things related to Punxsy Phil. She also enjoyed coming to DuBois and spending the weekend with her parents.
Franklin G. âGlazeâ Lingenfelter, 84, Punxsutawney, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at Jefferson Manor Health Center, Brookville.
He was born Jan. 27, 1929, in Perry Township, a son of the late Marion G. âSimonâ and Mabel P. (Bush) Lingenfelter.
He worked as a heavy equipment operator and drove truck.
He loved driving, going for rides, hunting, gardening and mowing on his John Deere tractors.
He was a member of the Moose and the American Legion.
Nancy Lee (Mahorney) Cook, 65, of DuBois, died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Punxsutawney Area Hospital.
She was born April 10, 1948, in Washington, D.C., the daughter of the late James and Marie Mahorney.
She was married to Roy F. Cook, Sr., who preceded her in death.
Sandra K. (Klohr) Tyger, 47, of Marion Center, Pa., died Sunday, Sept. 22, 2013, at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
The daughter of George F. Klohr, Sr. and Nancy (Orcutt) Klohr, she was born on Dec. 19, 1965, in Punxsutawney.
Sandra married her husband, Robert S. Tyger, on June 27, 1984.
Frank M. Amundson, 70, of Punxsutawney, passed away Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, at his home.
Mr. Amundson was born April 30, 1943, in Punxsutawney, the son of the late Frank B. Amundson and Eleanor (McCullough) Amundson.
He was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann (Renne) Amundson of Punxsutawney.
Mr. Amundson was the President of Femco Machine Company, which he
co-owned with his father and brother from 1964 to 1994.
Monabell D. Bair, 76, Rossiter, died Thursday, Sept. 19, 2013, at Mulberry Square.
She was born March 28, 1937, a daughter of the late Andrew and June (Seger) Zemlin.
She was married to Charles Bair, who preceded her in death on April 25, 1991.
She enjoyed her family, grandchildren and gardening.
